Hello! I’m Sam, founder of VaporWave Vehicle Services in Cornwall. My career spans from maintaining superyachts as Bosun, professional yacht and automotive refinishing, and private-estate management. The thread running through it all is simple: when you’re trusted with high-value assets, precision, discretion, and reliability are non-negotiable. Those standards underpin every valet, detail, and paint correction I deliver.

 

A background built for trust

• Superyachts: My foundation was built in the world of superyacht maintenance — where perfection isn’t optional, it’s expected. I worked aboard vessels up to 124m, including royal and show-standard yachts where every surface and reflection had to be flawless under scrutiny. Maintaining exterior finishes in harsh marine environments demanded precision routines and an obsessive eye for detail — standards that now define every vehicle I care for.

• Yacht Painter/Refinisher (Pendennis Shipyard): Before my deck roles, I worked as a professional yacht painter and refinisher at Pendennis in Falmouth. I handled fairing, repair blending, polishing, and the application of primers, topcoats, and anti-foul across systems like Awlgrip, Alexseal, Jotun and International—experience that directly translates to finish quality and defect control on vehicles.

• Automotive Painter & Refinisher: I trained and worked in vehicle paint and body repair, from panel prep and refinishing through to machine polishing and protection. That bodyshop discipline—measuring, testing, lighting, and methodical approach now informs how I deliver paint corrections and protection on modern and classic cars.

• Private-Estate Operations: I’ve also managed day-to-day operations on a Cornish estate—coordinating contractors, maintaining technical systems, and managing a vehicle fleet. Confidentiality, safety, and tidy, unobtrusive working are second nature.
